RCIA
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
This is the usual process by which adults are
welcomed into membership in the catholic church. The process allows time
for learning, liturgical experience and faith sharing. Parishioners who
know anyone who is interested should invite and even accompany them to
their first meeting or two.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) process
runs in stages from August through the Easter seaon of the following year on
Tuesday evenings and
is intended for:
1) Those who have never been baptized and would like to investigate what the
Catholic faith is all about. After that they may choose to continue
towards full membership.
2) Those who have been baptized in a non-Catholic Christian tradition and would
like to come and learn what the Catholic community believes and see if they
would like to belong.
3) Catholics who were baptized but never brought up
in the faith and would like to get back to their roots and prepare themselves
for the other sacraments of initiation: Eucharist and Confirmation.
